So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were to marry his daughters, and said, “Up, get out of this place, for the Lord is destroying the city.” But he appeared to his sons-in-law to be joking.

How they are destroyed in a moment! They are utterly swept away by sudden terrors!

So now leave Me alone, that My anger may burn against them and that I may destroy them; and I will make of you a great nation.”

Why should the Egyptians talk, saying, ‘With evil motives He brought them out, to kill them on the mountains and to destroy them from the face of the earth’? Turn from Your burning anger and relent of doing harm to Your people.

“Their quiver is like an open grave, All of them are warriors.

I will strike them with plague and dispossess them, and I will make you into a nation greater and mightier than they.”

Now if You put this people to death all at once, then the nations who have heard of Your fame will say,

Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying,

“Get away from among this congregation so that I may consume them instantly.” Then they fell on their faces.

But the Lord said to Moses, “Put the staff of Aaron back in front of the testimony to be kept as a sign against the rebels, so that you may put an end to their grumblings against Me and they do not die.”

And with many other words he solemnly testified and kept on urging them, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation!”

“Therefore, come out from their midst and be separate,” says the Lord. “And do not touch what is unclean; And I will welcome you.

I heard another voice from heaven, saying, “Come out of her, my people, so that you will not participate in her sins and receive any of her plagues;
