But for Your sake we are killed all day long; We are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.

He will swallow up death for all time, And the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces, And He will remove the disgrace of His people from all the earth; For the Lord has spoken.

“Listen to Me, you who know righteousness, A people in whose heart is My Law; Do not fear the taunting of people, Nor be terrified of their abuses.

Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at His word: “Your brothers who hate you, who exclude you on account of My name, Have said, ‘Let the Lord be glorified, so that we may see your joy.’ But they will be put to shame.

But Jeremiah said, “A lie! I am not deserting to the Chaldeans”; yet he would not listen to him. So Irijah arrested Jeremiah and brought him to the officials.

and you will even be brought before governors and kings on My account, as a testimony to them and to the Gentiles.

And you will be hated by all because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.

It is enough for the disciple that he may become like his teacher, and the slave like his master. If they have called the head of the house Beelzebul, how much more will they insult the members of his household!

The one who has found his life will lose it, and the one who has lost his life on My account will find it.

And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms on account of My name, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life.

“Then they will hand you over to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name.

And those passing by were speaking abusively to Him, shaking their heads,

And you will be hated by everyone because of My name, but it is the one who has endured to the end who will be saved.

“But be on your guard; for they will hand you over to the courts, and you will be flogged in the synagogues, and you will stand before governors and kings for My sake, as a testimony to them.

and yet they have no firm root in themselves, but are only temporary; then, when affliction or persecution occurs because of the word, immediately they fall away.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.

“But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, turning you over to the synagogues and prisons, bringing you before kings and governors on account of My name.

and you will be hated by all people because of My name.

Blessed are you when the people hate you, and when they exclude you, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, on account of the Son of Man.

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake, this is the one who will save it.

But all these things they will do to you on account of My name, because they do not know the One who sent Me.

They spoke abusively to him and said, “You are His disciple, but we are disciples of Moses.

for I will show him how much he must suffer in behalf of My name.”

Just as it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We were regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.”

We are fools on account of Christ, but you are prudent in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are distinguished, but we are without honor!

For we who live are constantly being handed over to death because of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our mortal flesh.

For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer on His behalf,

and while being abusively insulted, He did not insult in return; while suffering, He did not threaten, but kept entrusting Himself to Him who judges righteously;

If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory, and of God, rests upon you.

and you have perseverance and have endured on account of My name, and have not become weary.
