And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will be brought down to Hades! For if the miracles that occurred in you had occurred in Sodom, it would have remained to this day.

Now when they came to Capernaum, those who collected the two-drachma tax came to Peter and said, “Does your teacher not pay the two-drachma tax?”

This happened so that what was spoken through Isaiah the prophet would be fulfilled:

“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali, By the way of the sea, on the other side of the Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles—

Getting into a boat, Jesus crossed over the Sea of Galilee and came to His own city.

They *went into Capernaum; and immediately on the Sabbath Jesus entered the synagogue and began to teach.

When Jesus came back to Capernaum a few days later, it was heard that He was at home.

And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will be brought down to Hades!

And He said to them, “No doubt you will quote this proverb to Me: ‘Physician, heal yourself! All the miracles that we heard were done in Capernaum, do here in Your hometown as well.’ ”

After this He went down to Capernaum, He and His mother, and His brothers and His disciples; and they stayed there a few days.

Therefore He came again to Cana of Galilee, where He had made the water into wine. And there was a royal official whose son was sick at Capernaum.

and after getting into a boat, they started to cross the sea to Capernaum. It had already become dark, and Jesus had not yet come to them.

So when the crowd saw that Jesus was not there, nor His disciples, they themselves got into the small boats and came to Capernaum, looking for Jesus.

These things He said in the synagogue as He taught in Capernaum.
