How can you believe, when you accept glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?

The one who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who is seeking the glory of the One who sent Him, He is true, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.

“You shall therefore take these words of mine to heart and to soul; and you shall tie them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets on your forehead.

“You shall make yourself tassels on the four corners of your garment with which you cover yourself.

You shall also tie them as a sign to your hand, and they shall be as frontlets on your forehead.

Some, to be sure, are preaching Christ even from envy and strife, but some also from goodwill;

Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves;

who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.
