And if your right hand is causing you to sin, cut it off and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell.

“Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it is better for him if a heavy millstone is hung around his neck and he is thrown into the sea.

And if your hand causes you to sin, cut it off; it is better for you to enter life maimed, than, having your two hands, to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire.

It is better for him if a millstone is hung around his neck and he is thrown into the sea, than that he may cause one of these little ones to sin.

But Jesus, aware that His disciples were complaining about this, said to them, “Is this offensive to you?

It is good not to eat meat or to drink wine, or to do anything by which your brother or sister stumbles.

Therefore, if food causes my brother to sin, I will never eat meat again, so that I will not cause my brother to sin.

But take care that this freedom of yours does not somehow become a stumbling block to the weak.

giving no reason for taking offense in anything, so that the ministry will not be discredited,

For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.

Listen, my beloved brothers and sisters: did God not choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?
