“Listen then to the parable of the sower.

Then He left the crowds and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him and said, “Explain to us the parable of the weeds of the field.”

Jesus said, “Are you also still lacking in understanding?

and He did not speak to them without a parable; but He was explaining everything privately to His own disciples.

And when He later entered a house, away from the crowd, His disciples asked Him about the parable.

His disciples *said, “See, now You are speaking plainly and are not using any figure of speech.
