And he sent his slaves to call those who had been invited to the wedding feast, and they were unwilling to come.

And He *summoned the twelve and began to send them out in pairs, and gave them authority over the unclean spirits;

Now after this the Lord appointed seventy-two others, and sent them in pairs ahead of Him to every city and place where He Himself was going to come.

But a Samaritan who was on a journey came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion,

and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan.

Now He called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all the demons, and the power to heal diseases.

And He sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to perform healing.

Just as You sent Me into the world, I also sent them into the world.

So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be to you; just as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”

Our fathers worshiped on this mountain, and yet you Jews say that in Jerusalem is the place where one must worship.”

So He *came to a city of Samaria called Sychar, near the parcel of land that Jacob gave to his son Joseph;

So the Samaritan woman *said to Him, “How is it that You, though You are a Jew, are asking me for a drink, though I am a Samaritan woman?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans.)

The Jews then said to one another, “Where does this Man intend to go that we will not find Him? He does not intend to go to the Dispersion among the Greeks, and teach the Greeks, does He?

The Jews answered and said to Him, “Do we not rightly say that You are a Samaritan, and You have a demon?”

but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in all Judea, and Samaria, and as far as the remotest part of the earth.”

All the Jewish believers who came with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had also been poured out on the Gentiles.

Now Saul approved of putting Stephen to death. And on that day a great persecution began against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the apostles.

hindering us from speaking to the Gentiles so that they may be saved; with the result that they always reach the limit of their sins. But wrath has come upon them fully.
