Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel groaned because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage ascended to God.

He was despised and abandoned by men, A man of great pain and familiar with sickness; And like one from whom people hide their faces, He was despised, and we had no regard for Him.

Moved with compassion, Jesus reached out with His hand and touched him, and *said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed.”

At the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, “Eloi, Eloi, lema sabaktanei?” which is translated, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?”

And taking the child by the hand, He *said to her, “Talitha, kum!” (which translated means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).

And He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up toward heaven, He blessed the food and broke the loaves and He gave them to the disciples again and again to set before them; and He divided the two fish among them all.

And his ears were opened, and the impediment of his tongue was removed, and he began speaking plainly.

Sighing deeply in His spirit, He *said, “Why does this generation demand a sign? Truly I say to you, no sign will be given to this generation!”

And Jesus said to him, “Regain your sight; your faith has made you well.”

When He approached Jerusalem, He saw the city and wept over it,

And He came up and touched the coffin; and the bearers came to a halt. And He said, “Young man, I say to you, arise!”

Therefore when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her also weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and was troubled,

So Jesus, again being deeply moved within, *came to the tomb. Now it was a cave, and a stone was lying against it.

So they removed the stone. And Jesus raised His eyes, and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.

And when He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”

Jesus spoke these things; and raising His eyes to heaven, He said, “Father, the hour has come; glorify Your Son, so that the Son may glorify You,

Peter said to him, “Aeneas, Jesus Christ heals you; get up and make your own bed.” Immediately he got up.

But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things just as we are, yet without sin.
