And I said, ‘As far as this point you shall come, but no farther; And here your proud waves shall stop’?

A God greatly feared in the council of the holy ones, And awesome above all those who are around Him?

“My covenant with him was one of life and peace, and I gave them to him as an object of reverence; so he revered Me and was in awe of My name.

When they got into the boat, the wind stopped.

The men were amazed, and said, “What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?”

And He said to them, “Why are you afraid? Do you still have no faith?”

They came to the other side of the sea, into the region of the Gerasenes.

But the woman, fearing and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.

And they were utterly astonished, saying, “He has done all things well; He makes even those who are deaf hear, and those who are unable to talk, speak.”

And amazement came upon them all, and they began talking with one another, saying, “What is this message? For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”

And He said to them, “Where is your faith?” But they were fearful and amazed, saying to one another, “Who then is this, that He commands even the winds and the water, and they obey Him?”

Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let’s show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;

“Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For all the nations will come and worship before You, For Your righteous acts have been revealed.”

Only fear the Lord and serve Him in truth with all your heart; for consider what great things He has done for you.
