Setting out from there, Jesus *went to the region of Judea and beyond the Jordan; crowds *gathered to Him again, and, as He was accustomed, He once more began to teach them.

In addition to being wise, the Preacher also taught the people knowledge; and he pondered, searched out, and arranged many proverbs.

They have turned their back to Me and not their face; though I taught them, teaching again and again, they would not listen to accept discipline.

At that time Jesus said to the crowds, “Have you come out with swords and clubs to arrest Me as you would against a man inciting a revolt? Every day I used to sit within the temple grounds teaching, and you did not arrest Me.

Jesus was going about in all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

They *went into Capernaum; and immediately on the Sabbath Jesus entered the synagogue and began to teach.

And some Pharisees came up to Jesus, testing Him, and began questioning Him whether it was lawful for a man to divorce his wife.

And Jesus responded and began saying, as He taught in the temple area, “How is it that the scribes say that the Christ is the son of David?

Every day I was with you within the temple grounds teaching, and you did not arrest Me; but this has taken place so that the Scriptures will be fulfilled.”

And He went out again by the seashore; and all the people were coming to Him, and He was teaching them.

And He was teaching them many things in parables, and was saying to them in His teaching,

And when the Sabbath came, He began to teach in the synagogue; and the many listeners were astonished, saying, “Where did this Man learn these things, and what is this wisdom that has been given to Him, and such miracles as these performed by His hands?

When Jesus went ashore, He saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things.

And He was amazed at their unbelief. And He was going around the villages, teaching.

And He went away again beyond the Jordan to the place where John was first baptizing, and He stayed there.

Then after this He *said to the disciples, “Let’s go to Judea again.”

Jesus answered him, “I have spoken openly to the world; I always taught in synagogues and in the temple area, where all the Jews congregate; and I said nothing in secret.
