And all the people were speaking well of Him, and admiring the gracious words which were coming from His lips; and yet they were saying, “Is this not Joseph’s son?”

You are the most handsome of the sons of mankind; Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever.

The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, But the mouth of the wicked, what is perverted.

The wise in heart will be called understanding, And sweetness of speech increases persuasiveness.

Words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him;

“His mouth is full of sweetness. And he is wholly desirable. This is my beloved and this is my friend, You daughters of Jerusalem.”

¶The Lord God has given Me the tongue of disciples, So that I may know how to sustain the weary one with a word. He awakens Me morning by morning, He awakens My ear to listen as a disciple.

And all who heard Him were amazed at His understanding and His answers.

When Joseph and Mary saw Him, they were bewildered; and His mother said to Him, “Son, why have You treated us this way? Behold, Your father and I have been anxiously looking for You!”

for I will provide you eloquence and wisdom which none of your adversaries will be able to oppose or refute.

Now He began to say to them, “Today this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”

Philip *found Nathanael and *said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses wrote in the Law, and the prophets also wrote: Jesus the son of Joseph, from Nazareth!”

And they were saying, “Is this not Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does He now say, ‘I have come down out of heaven’?”

The officers answered, “Never has a man spoken in this way!”

But they were unable to cope with his wisdom and the Spirit by whom he was speaking.

sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.
