“I will also make him My firstborn, The highest of the kings of the earth.

They began to discuss this among themselves, saying, “He said that because we did not bring any bread.”

The baptism of John was from what source: from heaven or from men?” And they began considering the implications among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say to us, ‘Then why did you not believe him?’

And when the harvest time approached, he sent his slaves to the vine-growers to receive his fruit.

And He was teaching daily in the temple; but the chief priests and the scribes and the leading men among the people were trying to put Him to death,

Now the owner of the vineyard said, ‘What am I to do? I will send my beloved son; perhaps they will respect him.’

And so they threw him out of the vineyard and killed him. What, then, will the owner of the vineyard do to them?

The scribes and the chief priests tried to lay hands on Him that very hour, and yet they feared the people; for they were aware that He had spoken this parable against them.

They discussed among themselves, saying, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will say, ‘Why did you not believe him?’

And the chief priests and the scribes were trying to find a way to put Him to death, since they were afraid of the people.

this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death.

but put to death the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, a fact to which we are witnesses.

and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him.

in these last days has spoken to us in His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, through whom He also made the world.
