Certainly His salvation is near to those who fear Him, That glory may dwell in our land.

¶Then on that day The nations will resort to the root of Jesse, Who will stand as a signal flag for the peoples; And His resting place will be glorious.

On that day the Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth will be the pride and the beauty of the survivors of Israel.

“In the Lord all the offspring of Israel Will be justified and will boast.”

He says, “It is too small a thing that You should be My Servant To raise up the tribes of Jacob and to restore the protected ones of Israel; I will also make You a light of the nations So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”

Saying to those who are bound, ‘Go free,’ To those who are in darkness, ‘Show yourselves.’ They will feed along the roads, And their pasture will be on all bare heights.

¶“Pay attention to Me, My people, And listen to Me, My nation; For a law will go out from Me, And I will bring My justice as a light of the peoples.

“No longer will you have the sun for light by day, Nor will the moon give you light for brightness; But you will have the Lord as an everlasting light, And your God as your glory.

The people who walk in darkness Will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them.

“Has a nation changed gods, When they were not gods? But My people have exchanged their glory For that which is of no benefit.

But I,’ declares the Lord, ‘will be a wall of fire to her on all sides, and I will be the glory in her midst.’ ”

The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great Light, And those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death, Upon them a Light dawned.”

And so the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people;

Which You have prepared in the presence of all the peoples:

as to whether the Christ was to suffer, and whether, as first from the resurrection of the dead, He would proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.”

Therefore, let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will also listen.”

so that, just as it is written: “Let the one who boasts, boast in the Lord.”

And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.
