Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!”
Lord, I call upon You; hurry to me! Listen to my voice when I call to You!
“ Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
He *said to them, “Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm.
As Jesus went on from there, two men who were blind followed Him, crying out, “Have mercy on us, Son of David!”
Woe to you lawyers! For you have taken away the key of knowledge; you yourselves did not enter, and you hindered those who were entering.”
Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not become discouraged,
Now they were bringing even their babies to Him so that He would touch them; but when the disciples saw it, they began rebuking them.
And he called out, saying, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!”
And Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him; and when he came near, He asked him,
And yet some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples!”
While He was still speaking, someone *came from the house of the synagogue official, saying, “Your daughter has died; do not trouble the Teacher anymore.”
Concerning this I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might leave me.
