Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and struck Job with severe boils from the sole of his foot to the top of his head.

¶The afflictions of the righteous are many, But the Lord rescues him from them all.

For I have been stricken all day long, And punished every morning.

Now the brother or sister of humble circumstances is to glory in his high position;

Listen, my beloved brothers and sisters: did God not choose the poor of this world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which He promised to those who love Him?

“He raises the poor from the dust, He lifts the needy from the garbage heap To seat them with nobles, And He gives them a seat of honor as an inheritance; For the pillars of the earth are the Lord’s, And He set the world on them.
