“Yet I planted you as a choice vine, A completely faithful seed. How then have you turned yourself before Me Into the degenerate shoots of a foreign vine?

¶“I will certainly snatch them away,” declares the Lord. “There will be no grapes on the vine And no figs on the fig tree, And the leaf will wither; And what I have given them will pass away.” ’ ”

No, I tell you, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,

Not that I seek the gift itself, but I seek the profit which increases to your account.

But the fig tree said to them, ‘Shall I give up my sweetness and my good fruit, and go to wave over the trees?’
