And as He said this, all His opponents were being humiliated; and the entire crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things being done by Him.

May my accusers be clothed with dishonor, And may they cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.

Splendid and majestic is His work, And His righteousness endures forever.

“I will clothe his enemies with shame, But upon himself his crown will gleam.”

May those be ashamed and humiliated together Who seek my life to destroy it; May those be turned back and dishonored Who delight in my hurt.

“Who is like You among the gods, Lord? Who is like You, majestic in holiness, Awesome in praises, working wonders?

On that day the Branch of the Lord will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth will be the pride and the beauty of the survivors of Israel.

“They will say of Me, ‘Only in the Lord are righteousness and strength.’ People will come to Him, And all who were angry at Him will be put to shame.

Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at His word: “Your brothers who hate you, who exclude you on account of My name, Have said, ‘Let the Lord be glorified, so that we may see your joy.’ But they will be put to shame.

And they could offer no reply to this.

And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God; and when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.

and yet they could not find anything that they might do, for all the people were hanging on to every word He said.

For they did not have the courage to question Him any longer about anything.

When they had threatened them further, they let them go (finding no basis on which to punish them) on account of the people, because they were all glorifying God for what had happened;

But they will not make further progress; for their foolishness will be obvious to all, just as was that also of Jannes and Jambres.

sound in speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.

and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who disparage your good behavior in Christ will be put to shame.
