Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. A prayer of a righteous person, when it is brought about, can accomplish much.

So it came about, when God destroyed the cities of the surrounding area, that God remembered Abraham, and sent Lot out of the midst of the destruction, when He overthrew the cities in which Lot had lived.

Then Abraham prayed to God, and God healed Abimelech and his wife and his female slaves, so that they gave birth to children.

So the Lord heard Hezekiah and healed the people.

Now therefore, take for yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to My servant Job, and offer up a burnt offering for yourselves, and My servant Job will pray for you. For I will accept him so as not to do with you as your foolishness deserves, because you have not spoken of Me what is trustworthy, as My servant Job has.”

¶The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous, And His ears are toward their cry for help.

So it came about, when Moses held his hand up, that Israel prevailed; but when he let his hand down, Amalek prevailed.

So Moses left the city from his meeting with Pharaoh, and spread out his hands to the Lord; and the thunder and the hail stopped, and rain no longer poured on the earth.

The Lord is far from the wicked, But He hears the prayer of the righteous.

The sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord, But the prayer of the upright is His delight.

One who turns his ear away from listening to the Law, Even his prayer is an abomination.

Then the Lord said to me, “Even if Moses and Samuel were to stand before Me, My heart would not be with this people. Send them away from My presence and have them go!

‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’

and said to Jeremiah the prophet, “Please let our pleading come before you, and pray for us to the Lord your God for all this remnant—since we have been left only a few out of many, just as your own eyes now see us—

The people then cried out to Moses; and Moses prayed to the Lord, and the fire died out.

And whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive it all.”

and they were being baptized by him in the Jordan River, as they confessed their sins.

And as they were leaving, they began going throughout the villages, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.

We know that God does not listen to sinners; but if someone is God-fearing and does His will, He listens to him.

You know of Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and with power, and how He went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Also many of those who had believed kept coming, confessing and disclosing their practices.

But Simon answered and said, “Pray to the Lord for me yourselves, so that nothing of what you have said may come upon me.”

as it is written: “There is no righteous person, not even one;

For as through the one man’s disobedience the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the One the many will be made righteous.

For this reason we also, since the day we heard about it, have not ceased praying for you and asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding,

Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept complete, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Brothers and sisters, pray for us.

By faith Abel offered to God a better sacrifice than Cain, through which he was attested to be righteous, God testifying about his gifts, and through faith, though he is dead, he still speaks.

By faith Noah, being warned by God about things not yet seen, in reverence prepared an ark for the salvation of his household, by which he condemned the world, and became an heir of the righteousness which is according to faith.

and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is impaired may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.

Pray for us, for we are sure that we have a good conscience, desiring to conduct ourselves honorably in all things.

Then Joshua spoke to the Lord on the day when the Lord turned the Amorites over to the sons of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, “Sun, stand still at Gibeon, And moon, at the Valley of Aijalon!”

and He Himself brought our sins in His body up on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness; by His wounds you were healed.

and whatever we ask, we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do the things that are pleasing in His sight.

Now it came about, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli was watching her mouth.

Is it not the wheat harvest today? I will call to the Lord, that He will send thunder and rain. Then you will know and see that your wickedness is great which you have done in the sight of the Lord, by asking for yourselves a king.”

So Samuel called to the Lord, and the Lord sent thunder and rain that day; and all the people greatly feared the Lord and Samuel.
