However, Hezekiah humbled the pride of his heart, both he and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so that the wrath of the Lord did not come on them in the days of Hezekiah.

Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty, But humility goes before honor.

The reward of humility and the fear of the Lord Are riches, honor, and life.

A person’s pride will bring him low, But a humble spirit will obtain honor.

Though He scoffs at the scoffers, Yet He gives grace to the needy.

And the pride of humanity will be humbled And the arrogance of people will be brought low; And the Lord alone will be exalted on that day,

“For a brief moment I abandoned you, But with great compassion I will gather you.

For this is what the high and exalted One Who lives forever, whose name is Holy, says: “I dwell in a high and holy place, And also with the contrite and lowly of spirit In order to revive the spirit of the lowly And to revive the heart of the contrite.

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise, exalt, and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just; and He is able to humble those who walk in pride.”

For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him.

Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled, and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted.

“He has brought down rulers from their thrones, And has exalted those who were humble.

For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other one; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”

Humble yourselves in the presence of the Lord, and He will exalt you.

You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God is opposed to the proud, but He gives grace to the humble.

“Do not go on boasting so very proudly, Do not let arrogance come out of your mouth; For the Lord is a God of knowledge, And with Him actions are weighed.
