For the sun rises with its scorching heat and withers the grass; and its flower falls off and the beauty of its appearance is destroyed; so also the rich person, in the midst of his pursuits, will die out.

¶As for man, his days are like grass; Like a flower of the field, so he flourishes.

But after the sun rose, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

saying, ‘These who were hired last worked only one hour, and you have made them equal to us who have borne the burden of the day’s work and the scorching heat.’

But if God so clothes the grass of the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, will He not much more clothe you? You of little faith!

And when the sun had risen, it was scorched; and because it had no root, it withered away.

and those who use the world, as though they did not make full use of it; for the present form of this world is passing away.

to obtain an inheritance which is imperishable, undefiled, and will not fade away, reserved in heaven for you,

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.
