Hosea 7:2

¶“For His eyes are upon the ways of a person, And He sees all his steps.

He says to himself, “God has forgotten; He has hidden His face; He will never see it.”

Do not remember the sins of my youth or my wrongdoings; Remember me according to Your faithfulness, For Your goodness’ sake, Lord.

¶“Now consider this, you who forget God, Or I will tear you in pieces, and there will be no one to save you.

The Lord has made Himself known; He has executed judgment. A wicked one is ensnared in the work of his own hands. Higgaion Selah

You have placed our guilty deeds before You, Our hidden sins in the light of Your presence.

“An ox knows its owner, And a donkey its master’s manger, But Israel does not know, My people do not understand.”

Lord, they sought You in distress; They could only whisper a prayer, Your discipline was upon them.

No one remembers, nor is there knowledge or understanding to say, “I have burned half of it in the fire and also have baked bread over its coals. I roast meat and eat it. Then I make the rest of it into an abomination, I bow down before a block of wood!”

Their banquets are accompanied by lyre and harp, by tambourine and flute, and by wine; But they do not pay attention to the deeds of the Lord, Nor do they consider the work of His hands.

This is what the Lord says to this people: “So much they have loved to wander; they have not restrained their feet. Therefore the Lord does not accept them; now He will remember their wrongdoing and call their sins to account.”

For My eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from My face, nor is their wrongdoing concealed from My eyes.

The sin of Judah is written with an iron stylus; With a diamond point it is engraved on the tablet of their hearts And on the horns of their altars,

“Your own wickedness will correct you, And your apostasies will punish you; Know therefore and see that it is evil and bitter For you to abandon the Lord your God, And the fear of Me is not in you,” declares the Lord God of armies.

great in counsel and mighty in deed, whose eyes are open to all the ways of the sons of mankind, giving to everyone according to his ways and according to the fruit of his deeds;

“Your ways and your deeds Have brought these things upon you. This is your evil. How bitter! How it has touched your heart!”

“As for the smoking sacrifices that you burned in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your forefathers, your kings and your leaders, and the people of the land, did the Lord not remember them, and did all of this not come into His mind?

while they see false visions for you, while they divine lies for you—to place you on the necks of the wicked who are killed, whose day has come, in the time of the punishment of the end.

The Lord also has a case against Judah, And will punish Jacob according to his ways; He will repay him according to his deeds.

And it will be, like people, like priest; So I will punish them for their ways And repay them for their deeds.

“He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, That we may live before Him.

As for My sacrificial gifts, They sacrifice the flesh and eat it, But the Lord has taken no delight in them. Now He will remember their guilt, And punish them for their sins; They will return to Egypt.

¶All their evil is at Gilgal; Indeed, I came to hate them there! Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of My house! I will no longer love them; All their leaders are rebels.

They are deeply depraved As in the days of Gibeah; He will remember their guilt, He will punish their sins.

¶The Lord has sworn by the pride of Jacob, “Indeed, I will never forget any of their deeds.

“Arise, go to Nineveh, the great city, and cry out against it, because their wickedness has come up before Me.”

But if you do not do so, behold, you have sinned against the Lord, and be sure that your sin will find you out.

But there is nothing covered up that will not be revealed, and hidden that will not be known.

Therefore do not go on passing judgment before the time, but wait until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the things hidden in the darkness and disclose the motives of human hearts; and then praise will come to each person from God.

“If only they were wise and they understood this; If only they would discern their future!

And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom we must answer.
