But Laban said to him, “If it pleases you at all, stay with me; I have determined by divination that the Lord has blessed me on your account.”

For you had little before I came, and it has increased to a multitude, and the Lord has blessed you wherever I turned. But now, when shall I provide for my own household also?”

And the Lord was with Joseph, so he became a successful man. And he was in the house of his master, the Egyptian.

David was successful in all his ways, for the Lord was with him.

When Saul saw and realized that the Lord was with David, and that Michal, Saul’s daughter, loved him,

Now Samuel grew, and the Lord was with him, and He let none of his words fail.
