The Lord favors those who fear Him, Those who wait for His faithfulness.

Serve the Lord with reverence And rejoice with trembling.

¶Who is the person who fears the Lord? He will instruct him in the way he should choose.

The secret of the Lord is for those who fear Him, And He will make them know His covenant.

However, Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you will not sin.”

¶The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge; Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.

and have built the high places of Baal to burn their sons in the fire as burnt offerings to Baal, a thing which I did not command nor speak of, nor did it ever enter My mind;

So the church throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria enjoyed peace, as it was being built up; and as it continued in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it kept increasing.

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

No temptation has overtaken you except something common to mankind; and God is faithful, so He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will provide the way of escape also, so that you will be able to endure it.

For if the willingness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.

He considered that God is able to raise people even from the dead, from which he also received him back as a type.

Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let’s show gratitude, by which we may offer to God an acceptable service with reverence and awe;

But someone may well say, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.”

And a voice came from the throne, saying, “Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great.”

Samuel said, “Does the Lord have as much delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than a sacrifice, And to pay attention is better than the fat of rams.
