Genesis 15:1

After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not fear, Abram, I am a shield to you; Your reward shall be very great.”

My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold and my refuge; My savior, You save me from violence.

And the angel of the Lord said to Elijah, “Go down with him; do not be afraid of him.” So he got up and went down with him to the king.

Then David said to his son Solomon, “Be strong and courageous, and act; do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you until all the work for the service of the house of the Lord is finished.

House of Aaron, trust in the Lord; He is their help and their shield.

You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait for Your word.

¶I cried out to You, Lord; I said, “You are my refuge, My portion in the land of the living.

The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my savior, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom should I fear? The Lord is the defense of my life; Whom should I dread?

¶But You, Lord, are a shield around me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head.

I was crying out to the Lord with my voice, And He answered me from His holy mountain. Selah

For You bless the righteous person, Lord, You surround him with favor as with a shield.

And people will say, “There certainly is a reward for the righteous; There certainly is a God who judges on the earth!”

For the Lord God is a sun and shield; The Lord gives grace and glory; He withholds no good thing from those who walk with integrity.

See our shield, God, And look at the face of Your anointed.

He will cover you with His pinions, And under His wings you may take refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and wall.

But Moses said to the people, “Do not fear! Stand by and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will perform for you today; for the Egyptians whom you have seen today, you will never see them again, ever.

A wicked person earns deceptive wages, But one who sows righteousness gets a true reward.

¶Every word of God is pure; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.

Say to those with anxious heart, “Take courage, fear not. Behold, your God will come with vengeance; The retribution of God will come, But He will save you.”

Behold, the Lord God will come with might, With His arm ruling for Him. Behold, His compensation is with Him, And His reward before Him.

‘Do not fear, for I am with you; Do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will also help you, I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

“Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you people of Israel; I will help you,” declares the Lord, “and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

But now, this is what the Lord says, He who is your Creator, Jacob, And He who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name; you are Mine!

“Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, And gather you from the west.

This is what the Lord says, He who made you And formed you from the womb, who will help you: ‘Do not fear, Jacob My servant, And Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

‘Do not tremble and do not be afraid; Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it? And you are My witnesses. Is there any God besides Me, Or is there any other Rock? I know of none.’ ”

¶“I, I Myself, am He who comforts you. Who are you that you are afraid of mortal man, And of a son of man who is made like grass,

But I will save you on that day,” declares the Lord, “and you will not be handed over to the men of whom you are afraid.

“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I wait for Him.”

Now it came about in the thirtieth year, on the fifth day of the fourth month, while I was by the river Chebar among the exiles, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.

And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God to Chaldea, to the exiles. Then the vision that I had seen left me.

Then He said to me, “Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with My words to them.

He said, “Now hear My words: If there is a prophet among you, I, the Lord, will make Myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.

Then the Lord said to Aaron, “You shall have no inheritance in their land nor own any portion among them; I am your portion and your inheritance among the sons of Israel.

The declaration of him who hears the words of God, Who sees the vision of the Almighty, Falling down, yet having his eyes uncovered,

And the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid; for I know that you are looking for Jesus who has been crucified.

He *said to them, “Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?” Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm.

But the angel said to him, “Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall name him John.

And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

Do not be afraid, little flock, because your Father has chosen to give you the kingdom.

They said, “Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous and God-fearing man well spoken of by the entire nation of the Jews, was divinely directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and hear a message from you.”

whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas, or the world or life or death, or things present or things to come; all things belong to you,

They shall not have an inheritance among their countrymen; the Lord is their inheritance, as He promised them.

Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or in dread of them, for the Lord your God is the One who is going with you. He will not desert you or abandon you.”

God, after He spoke long ago to the fathers in the prophets in many portions and in many ways,

When I saw Him, I fell at His feet like a dead man. And He placed His right hand on me, saying, “Do not be afraid; I am the first and the last,

May the Lord reward your work, and may your wages be full from the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge.”

Then the word of the Lord came to Samuel, saying,

(Previously in Israel, when a man went to inquire of God, he used to say, “Come, and let’s go to the seer”; for he who is called a prophet now was previously called a seer.)
