Daniel 6:10

Now when Daniel learned that the document was signed, he entered his house (and in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he continued kneeling on his knees three times a day, praying and offering praise before his God, just as he had been doing previously.

And listen to the plea of Your servant and of Your people Israel, when they pray toward this place; hear in heaven Your dwelling place; hear and forgive!

But at the evening offering I stood up from my humiliation, even with my garment and my robe torn, and I bowed down on my knees and spread out my hands to the Lord my God;

But I said, “Should a man like me flee? And who is there like me who would go into the temple to save his own life? I will not go in.”

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

But as for me, by Your abundant graciousness I will enter Your house, At Your holy temple I will bow in reverence for You.

Evening and morning and at noon, I will complain and moan, And He will hear my voice.

Be gracious to me, Lord, For I call upon You all day long.

¶Come, let’s worship and bow down, Let’s kneel before the Lord our Maker.

Then they responded and spoke before the king, “Daniel, who is one of the exiles from Judah, pays no attention to you, O king, or to the injunction which you signed, but keeps offering his prayer three times a day.”

I prayed to the Lord my God and confessed, and said, “Oh, Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and faithfulness for those who love Him and keep His commandments,

“So I said, ‘I have been cast out of Your sight. Nevertheless I will look again toward Your holy temple.’

He *said to the man with the withered hand, “Get up and come forward!”

“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his own father, mother, wife, children, brothers, sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple.

And He withdrew from them about a stone’s throw, and He knelt down and began to pray,

On the next day, as they were on their way and approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop about the sixth hour to pray.

For these people are not drunk, as you assume, since it is only the third hour of the day;

But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of God’s grace.

When he had said these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

When our days there were ended, we left and started on our journey, while they all, with wives and children, escorted us until we were out of the city. After kneeling down on the beach and praying, we said farewell to one another.

Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the ninth hour, the hour of prayer.

And now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant it to Your bond-servants to speak Your word with all confidence,

“Go, stand and speak to the people in the temple area the whole message of this Life.”

But Peter and the apostles answered, “We must obey God rather than men.

Then he fell on his knees and cried out with a loud voice, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them!” Having said this, he fell asleep.

But Peter sent them all out and knelt down and prayed, and turning to the body, he said, “Tabitha, arise.” And she opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

For this reason I bend my knees before the Father,

and that most of the brothers and sisters, trusting in the Lord because of my imprisonment, have far more courage to speak the word of God without fear.

according to my eager expectation and hope, that I will not be put to shame in anything, but that with all boldness, Christ will even now, as always, be exalted in my body, whether by life or by death.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father.

Through Him then, let’s continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips praising His name.

Therefore let’s approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace for help at the time of our need.

Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

‘I know where you dwell, where Satan’s throne is; and you hold firmly to My name, and did not deny My faith even in the days of Antipas, My witness, My faithful one, who was killed among you, where Satan dwells.
