Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with wrath, and his facial expression was changed toward Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego. He answered by giving orders to heat the furnace seven times more than it was usually heated.

And he ordered certain valiant warriors who were in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego in order to throw them into the furnace of blazing fire.

Then the king’s face became pale and his thoughts alarmed him, and his hip joints loosened and his knees began knocking together.

The king then gave orders, and they brought those men who had maliciously accused Daniel, and they threw them, their children, and their wives into the lions’ den; and they had not reached the bottom of the den before the lions overpowered them and crushed all their bones.

If also after these things you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.

‘Yet if you show hostility toward Me and are unwilling to obey Me, I will increase the plague on you seven times according to your sins.

then I in turn will show hostility toward you; and I, even I, will strike you seven times for your sins.

then I will act with wrathful hostility against you, and I for My part will punish you seven times for your sins.

But when they heard this, they became infuriated and nearly decided to execute them.

Now when they heard this, they were infuriated, and they began gnashing their teeth at him.
