To these He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, by many convincing proofs, appearing to them over a period of forty days and speaking of things regarding the kingdom of God.

So he arose and ate and drank, and he journeyed in the strength of that food for forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mountain of God.

Therefore I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people producing its fruit.

And behold, Jesus met them and said, “Rejoice!” And they came up and took hold of His feet, and worshiped Him.

“Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”

And after He had fasted for forty days and forty nights, He then became hungry.

So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.

Eight days later His disciples were again inside, and Thomas was with them. Jesus *came, the doors having been shut, and stood in their midst and said, “Peace be to you.”

After these things Jesus revealed Himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias, and He revealed Himself in this way:

This was now the third time that Jesus revealed Himself to the disciples, after He was raised from the dead.

and for many days He appeared to those who came up with Him from Galilee to Jerusalem, the very ones who are now His witnesses to the people.

And he entered the synagogue and continued speaking out boldly for three months, having discussions and persuading them about the kingdom of God.

When they had set a day for Paul, people came to him at his lodging in large numbers; and he was explaining to them by solemnly testifying about the kingdom of God and trying to persuade them concerning Jesus, from both the Law of Moses and from the Prophets, from morning until evening.

But when they believed Philip as he was preaching the good news about the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were being baptized.

for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Then I fell down before the Lord like the first time, for forty days and nights; I neither ate bread nor drank water, because of all your sin which you had committed by doing what was evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger.

When I went up to the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant which the Lord made with you, then I remained on the mountain for forty days and nights; I neither ate bread nor drank water.

For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son,

so that you would walk in a manner worthy of the God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.

What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we have looked at and touched with our hands, concerning the Word of Life—
