How he swore to the Lord And vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob,

Until I find a place for the Lord, A dwelling place for the Mighty One of Jacob.”

He then brought the ark into the tabernacle, and set up a veil for the covering, and screened off the ark of the testimony, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

“Is it time for you yourselves to live in your paneled houses while this house remains desolate?”

His disciples remembered that it was written: “Zeal for Your house will consume me.”

David found favor in God’s sight, and asked that he might find a dwelling place for the house of Jacob.
