¶“Like a lily among the thorns, So is my darling among the young women.”

“I have no wrath. Should someone give Me briars and thorns in battle, Then I would step on them, I would burn them completely.

“The peoples will be burned to lime, Like cut thorns which are burned in the fire.

And as for you, son of man, you are not to fear them nor fear their words, though thistles and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions; you are not to fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, since they are a rebellious house.

The best of them is like a thorn bush, The most upright like a thorn hedge. The day when you post your watchmen, Your punishment is coming. Then their confusion will occur.

Like tangled thorns, And like those who are drunken with their drink, They are consumed Like stubble completely dried up.

The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all stumbling blocks, and those who commit lawlessness,

some worthless men have gone out from among you and have seduced the inhabitants of their city, saying, ‘Let’s go and serve other gods’ (whom you have not known),

Now the sons of Eli were useless men; they did not know the Lord.

Now then, be aware and consider what you should do, because harm is plotted against our master and against all his household; and he is such a worthless man that no one can speak to him.”
