Now when the woman of Tekoa spoke to the king, she fell on her face to the ground and prostrated herself, and said, “Help, O king!”

And he said to him, “Say now to her, ‘Behold, you have taken trouble for us with all this care; what can I do for you? Would you like me to speak for you to the king or to the commander of the army?’ ” But she answered, “I live among my own people.”

And as the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried out to him, saying, “Help, my lord the king!”

So the woman arose and acted in accordance with the word of the man of God: she went with her household and resided in the land of the Philistines for seven years.

Now the king was speaking with Gehazi, the servant of the man of God, saying, “Please report to me all the great things that Elisha has done.”

When the king asked the woman, she told everything to him. So the king appointed an officer for her, saying, “Restore all that was hers and all the produce of the field from the day that she left the land even until now.”

“He pled the cause of the afflicted and the poor, Then it was well. Is that not what it means to know Me?” Declares the Lord.

So she departed from the place where she was, and her two daughters-in-law with her; and they went on the way to return to the land of Judah.
