2 Kings 4:1

Now a woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets cried out to Elisha, saying, “Your servant my husband is dead, and you know that your servant feared the Lord; and the creditor has come to take my two children to be his slaves.”

Now fifty men of the sons of the prophets went and stood opposite them at a distance, while the two of them stood by the Jordan.

When Elisha returned to Gilgal, there was a famine in the land. As the sons of the prophets were sitting in front of him, he said to his servant, “Put on the large pot and boil stew for the sons of the prophets.”

But the man of God sent word to the king of Israel, saying, “Be careful that you do not pass this place, because the Arameans are coming down there.”

As for the peoples of the land who bring wares or any grain on the Sabbath day to sell, we will not buy from them on the Sabbath or on any holy day; and we will forgo the crops of the seventh year and every debt.

then I put Hanani my brother, and Hananiah the commander of the citadel, in charge of Jerusalem, for he was a faithful man and feared God more than many.

For as high as the heavens are above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him.

But the mercy of the Lord is from everlasting to everlasting for those who fear Him, And His justice to the children’s children,

He will bless those who fear the Lord, The small together with the great.

The Lord favors those who fear Him, Those who wait for His faithfulness.

The rich rules over the poor, And the borrower becomes the lender’s slave.

The conclusion, when everything has been heard, is: fear God and keep His commandments, because this applies to every person.

Although a sinner does evil a hundred times and may lengthen his life, still I know that it will go well for those who fear God, who fear Him openly.

This is what the Lord says: “Where is the certificate of divorce By which I have sent your mother away? Or to whom of My creditors did I sell you? Behold, you were sold for your wrongdoings, And for your wrongful acts your mother was sent away.

“At the end of seven years each of you shall set free his Hebrew brother who has been sold to you and has served you for six years, and you shall send him out free from you.” But your forefathers did not obey Me nor incline their ear to Me.

then he shall have redemption right after he has been sold. One of his brothers may redeem him,

Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another, and the Lord listened attentively and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the Lord and esteem His name.

But for you who fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and frolic like calves from the stall.

But since he did not have the means to repay, his master commanded that he be sold, along with his wife and children and all that he had, and repayment be made.

But he was unwilling, and went and threw him in prison until he would pay back what was owed.

My heavenly Father will also do the same to you, if each of you does not forgive his brother from your heart.”

“Brothers, sons of Abraham’s family, and those among you who fear God, to us the message of this salvation has been sent.

For judgment will be merciless to one who has shown no mercy; mercy triumphs over judgment.

“Who will not fear You, Lord, and glorify Your name? For You alone are holy; For all the nations will come and worship before You, For Your righteous acts have been revealed.”

And a voice came from the throne, saying, “Give praise to our God, all you His bond-servants, you who fear Him, the small and the great.”

Then Elimelech, Naomi’s husband, died; and she was left with her two sons.

Then everyone who was in distress, and everyone who was in debt, and everyone who was discontented gathered to him; and he became captain over them. Now there were about four hundred men with him.
