1 Samuel 3:18

So Samuel told him everything and hid nothing from him. And he said, “He is the Lord; let Him do what seems good to Him.”

Far be it from You to do such a thing, to kill the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous and the wicked are treated alike. Far be it from You! Shall not the Judge of all the earth deal justly?”

But if He says this: ‘I have no delight in you,’ then here I am, let Him do to me as seems good to Him.”

He said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked I shall return there. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.”

But he said to her, “You are speaking as one of the foolish women speaks. Shall we actually accept good from God but not accept adversity?” Despite all this, Job did not sin with his lips.

“I have become mute, I do not open my mouth, Because it is You who have done it.

And the Lord descended in the cloud and stood there with him as he called upon the name of the Lord.

Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, “The word of the Lord which you have spoken is good.” For he thought, “For there will be peace and truth in my days.”

Then Jeremiah the prophet spoke all these words to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem

Then King Zedekiah sent word and had Jeremiah the prophet brought to him at the third entrance that is in the house of the Lord; and the king said to Jeremiah, “I am going to ask you something; do not hide anything from me.”

Then Jeremiah the prophet said to them, “I have heard you. Behold, I am going to pray to the Lord your God in accordance with your words; and I will tell you the whole message which the Lord gives you as an answer. I will not withhold a word from you.”

¶Of what can any living mortal, or any man, Complain in view of his sins?

Then Moses said to Aaron, “It is what the Lord spoke, saying, ‘By those who come near Me I will be treated as holy, And before all the people I will be honored.’ ” So Aaron, therefore, kept silent.

Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, so that He may exalt you at the proper time,

Then the sons of Israel said to the Lord, “We have sinned, do to us whatever seems good to You; only please save us this day.”
