It is better to take refuge in the Lord Than to trust in people.

Let me hear Your faithfulness in the morning, For I trust in You; Teach me the way in which I should walk; For to You I lift up my soul.

And You have not handed me over to the enemy; You have set my feet in a large place.

My soul waits in silence for God alone; From Him comes my salvation.

¶Woe to those who deeply hide their plans from the Lord, And whose deeds are done in a dark place, And they say, “Who sees us?” or “Who knows us?”

¶Moreover, the Lord made it known to me and I knew it; Then You showed me their deeds.

And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him to whom we must answer.

So the men of Judah said, “Why have you come up against us?” And they said, “We have come up to bind Samson in order to do to him as he did to us.”

Will the citizens of Keilah hand me over to him? Will Saul come down just as Your servant has heard? Lord God of Israel, please, tell Your servant.” And the Lord said, “He will come down.”

Now then, O king, come down, since you fully desire to do so; and our part shall be to hand him over to the king.”

When it was reported to Saul that David had come to Keilah, Saul said, “God has handed him over to me, for he shut himself in by entering a city with double gates and bars.”
