If one person sins against another, God will mediate for him; but if a person sins against the Lord, who can intercede for him?” But they would not listen to the voice of their father, for the Lord desired to put them to death.

But what he did was displeasing in the sight of the Lord; so He took his life also.

A wise son accepts his father’s discipline, But a scoffer does not listen to rebuke.

There is severe punishment for one who abandons the way; One who hates a rebuke will die.

A person often rebuked who becomes obstinate Will suddenly be broken beyond remedy.

A time to kill and a time to heal; A time to tear down and a time to build up.

But the person who does wrong defiantly, whether he is a native or a stranger, that one is blaspheming the Lord; and that person shall be cut off from among his people.

You are not to show partiality in judgment; you shall hear the small and the great alike. You are not to be afraid of any person, for the judgment is God’s. The case that is too difficult for you, you shall bring to me, and I will hear it.’

But Sihon king of Heshbon was not willing for us to pass through his land; for the Lord your God hardened his spirit and made his heart obstinate, in order to hand him over to you, as he is today.

For there is one God, and one mediator also between God and mankind, the Man Christ Jesus,

For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,

but a terrifying expectation of judgment and the fury of a fire which will consume the adversaries.

Therefore He is also able to save forever those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.

For it was of the Lord to harden their hearts, to meet Israel in battle in order that he might utterly destroy them, that they might receive no mercy, but that he might destroy them, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Therefore I have sworn to the house of Eli that the wrongdoing of Eli’s house shall never be atoned for by sacrifice or offering.”
