But a person must examine himself, and in so doing he is to eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

Then Joshua said to the people, “Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do miracles among you.”

Stand up! Consecrate the people and say, ‘Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, because the Lord, the God of Israel, has said this: “There are things designated for destruction in your midst, Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you have removed the designated things from your midst.”

Nevertheless Saul did not say anything that day, because he thought, “It must have been an accident; he is not clean, undoubtedly he is not clean.”
