¶“And now my soul is poured out within me; Days of misery have seized me.

I spread out my hands to You; My soul longs for You, like a weary land. Selah

I remember these things and pour out my soul within me. For I used to go over with the multitude and walk them to the house of God, With a voice of joy and thanksgiving, a multitude celebrating a festival.

Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your hearts before Him; God is a refuge for us. Selah

¶People of low standing are only breath, and people of rank are a lie; In the balances they go up. Together they are lighter than breath.

A gentle answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.

Do not consider your bond-servant a useless woman, for I have spoken until now out of my great concern and provocation.”

So they gathered to Mizpah, and drew water and poured it out before the Lord, and fasted on that day and said there, “We have sinned against the Lord.” And Samuel judged the sons of Israel at Mizpah.
