She said, “May I prove worthy of your favor, my lord. You have comforted me. You have spoken to the heart of your servant—and I am not even one of your servants!”

She replied, “Let your servant find favor in your eyes,” and left. She went to her quarters, ate and drank with her husband, and no longer appeared downhearted.

Rising and bowing to the ground, she answered, “Let your maidservant be the slave who washes the feet of my lord’s servants.”
