His lightning illumines the world; the earth sees and trembles.
The clouds poured down their rains; the thunderheads rumbled; your arrows flashed back and forth.
Who looks at the earth and it trembles, touches the mountains and they smoke!
Then God’s temple in heaven was opened, and the ark of his covenant could be seen in the temple. There were flashes of lightning, rumblings, and peals of thunder, an earthquake, and a violent hailstorm.
Then I saw the heavens opened, and there was a white horse; its rider was [called] “Faithful and True.” He judges and wages war in righteousness.
The Lord is truly God, he is the living God, the eternal King, Before whose anger the earth quakes, whose wrath the nations cannot endure.
Tremble, earth, before the Lord, before the God of Jacob,
bow down to the Lord, splendid in holiness. Tremble before him, all the earth;
He shakes the earth out of its place, and the pillars beneath it tremble.
Everywhere under the heavens he sends it, with his light, to the ends of the earth.
The thunder of your chariot wheels resounded; your lightning lit up the world; the earth trembled and quaked.
