A song; a psalm of Asaph.
Of David. To you, Lord, I call; my Rock, do not be deaf to me, Do not be silent toward me, so that I join those who go down to the pit.
You see this, Lord; do not be silent; Lord, do not withdraw from me.
Our God comes and will not be silent! Devouring fire precedes him, it rages strongly around him.
For a long time I have kept silent, I have said nothing, holding myself back; Now I cry out like a woman in labor, gasping and panting.
For you we are slain all the day long, considered only as sheep to be slaughtered.
A psalm of Asaph. The God of gods, the Lord, has spoken and summoned the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
