Let them all praise the Lord’s name, for his name alone is exalted, His majesty above earth and heaven.

Know that the Lord works wonders for his faithful one; the Lord hears when I call out to him.

All day long my disgrace is before me; shame has covered my face

Who stops wars to the ends of the earth, breaks the bow, splinters the spear, and burns the shields with fire;

Be exalted over the heavens, God; may your glory appear above all the earth.

and said to him, “Do you hear what they are saying?” Jesus said to them, “Yes; and have you never read the text, ‘Out of the mouths of infants and nurslings you have brought forth praise’?”

At that very moment he rejoiced [in] the holy Spirit and said, “I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will.

Rather, God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise, and God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong,

He guards the footsteps of his faithful ones, but the wicked shall perish in the darkness; for not by strength does one prevail.
