So when the Jews who were with her in the house comforting her saw Mary get up quickly and go out, they followed her, presuming that she was going to the tomb to weep there.

“Come, let us return to the Lord, For it is he who has torn, but he will heal us; he has struck down, but he will bind our wounds.

One’s spirit supports one when ill, but a broken spirit who can bear?

On the day of my distress I call to you, for you will answer me.

My soul shall be sated as with choice food, with joyous lips my mouth shall praise you!

The cords of Sheol encircled me; the snares of death lay in wait for me.

If you set your heart aright and stretch out your hands toward him,

“If there is famine in the land or pestilence; or if blight comes, or mildew, or locusts swarm, or caterpillars; when their enemies besiege them at any of their gates; whatever plague or sickness there may be;

“What is your name?” the man asked. He answered, “Jacob.”

But I will call upon God, and the Lord will save me.
