Remember how the enemy has jeered, Lord, how a foolish people has reviled your name.

And now, Lord, for what do I wait? You are my only hope.

They spoke of the God of Israel as though he were one of the gods of the other peoples of the earth, a work of human hands.

You boasted against me with your mouths and used insolent words against me. I heard everything!
