Psalm 73:5

They are free of the burdens of life; they are not afflicted like others.

Such, then, are the wicked, always carefree, increasing their wealth.

Their homes are safe, without fear, and the rod of God is not upon them.

Those whom I love, I reprove and chastise. Be earnest, therefore, and repent.

If you are without discipline, in which all have shared, you are not sons but bastards.

but since we are judged by [the] Lord, we are being disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world.

When I think of it, I am dismayed, and shuddering seizes my flesh.

On the day of calamity the evil man is spared, on the day that wrath is released.
