In you, Lord, I take refuge; let me never be put to shame.

For it says in scripture: “Behold, I am laying a stone in Zion, a cornerstone, chosen and precious, and whoever believes in it shall not be put to shame.”

In you our fathers trusted; they trusted and you rescued them.

Let my persecutors be confounded—not me! let them be terrified—not me! Bring upon them the day of disaster, crush them with double destruction. Observance of the Sabbath.

A song of ascents. Those trusting in the Lord are like Mount Zion, unshakable, forever enduring.

Israel has been saved by the Lord, saved forever! You shall never be put to shame or disgrace in any future age.”

Blessed the one whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord, his God,

they received help so that the Hagrites and all who were with them were delivered into their power. For during the battle they cried out to God, and he heard them because they had put their trust in him.

as it is written: “Behold, I am laying a stone in Zion that will make people stumble and a rock that will make them fall, and whoever believes in him shall not be put to shame.”

He put his trust in the Lord, the God of Israel; and neither before nor after him was there anyone like him among all the kings of Judah.
