A psalm of David. Lord, who may abide in your tent? Who may dwell on your holy mountain?

Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings

Indeed, goodness and mercy will pursue me all the days of my life; I will dwell in the house of the Lord for endless days.

One thing I ask of the Lord; this I seek: To dwell in the Lord’s house all the days of my life, To gaze on the Lord’s beauty, to visit his temple.

For the director. Do not destroy. A miktam of David, when he fled from Saul into a cave.

Add days to the life of the king; may his years be as from generation to generation;

God alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not fall.

I think of you upon my bed, I remember you through the watches of the night

A prayer of Moses, the man of God. Lord, you have been our refuge through all generations.

You who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shade of the Almighty,

He will shelter you with his pinions, and under his wings you may take refuge; his faithfulness is a protecting shield.

The just shall flourish like the palm tree, shall grow like a cedar of Lebanon.

The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the just run to it and are safe.

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how many times I yearned to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her young under her wings, but you were unwilling!

so that by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge might be strongly encouraged to hold fast to the hope that lies before us.

“‘“The victor I will make into a pillar in the temple of my God, and he will never leave it again. On him I will inscribe the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from my God, as well as my new name.

May the Lord reward what you have done! May you receive a full reward from the Lord, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.”
