For he wounds, but he binds up; he strikes, but his hands give healing.

Then Moses cried to the Lord, “Please, not this! Please, heal her!”

He said: If you listen closely to the voice of the Lord, your God, and do what is right in his eyes: if you heed his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will not afflict you with any of the diseases with which I afflicted the Egyptians; for I, the Lord, am your healer.

Pity me, pity me, you my friends, for the hand of God has struck me!

Lord, do not punish me in your anger; in your wrath do not chastise me!

Correct me, Lord, but with equity, not in anger, lest you diminish me.
