So all the Israelites left David to follow Sheba, son of Bichri. But the Judahites, from the Jordan to Jerusalem, remained loyal to their king.

How much less so is the abominable and corrupt: people who drink in iniquity like water!

All have gone astray; all alike are perverse. Not one does what is good, not even one.

We had all gone astray like sheep, all following our own way; But the Lord laid upon him the guilt of us all.

There are none who call upon your name, none who rouse themselves to take hold of you; For you have hidden your face from us and have delivered us up to our crimes.

I will sprinkle clean water over you to make you clean; from all your impurities and from all your idols I will cleanse you.

And those who have turned away from the Lord, and those who have not sought the Lord, who have not inquired of him.

All have gone astray; all alike are worthless; there is not one who does good, [there is not] even one.

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from every defilement of flesh and spirit, making holiness perfect in the fear of God.

If you consider that he is righteous, you also know that everyone who acts in righteousness is begotten by him.

Beloved, do not imitate evil but imitate good. Whoever does what is good is of God; whoever does what is evil has never seen God.

Let the wicked still act wickedly, and the filthy still be filthy. The righteous must still do right, and the holy still be holy.”
