God answered him in the dream: Yes, I know you did it with a pure heart. In fact, it was I who kept you from sinning against me; that is why I did not let you touch her.

He calls to the heavens above and to the earth to judge his people:

The heavens proclaim his righteousness, for God himself is the judge. Selah

It is I, I, who wipe out, for my own sake, your offenses; your sins I remember no more.

It is a reparation offering. The individual must make reparation to the Lord.

His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son.’

(All the people who listened, including the tax collectors, and who were baptized with the baptism of John, acknowledged the righteousness of God;

because he has established a day on which he will ‘judge the world with justice’ through a man he has appointed, and he has provided confirmation for all by raising him from the dead.”

By your stubbornness and impenitent heart, you are storing up wrath for yourself for the day of wrath and revelation of the just judgment of God,

Of course not! God must be true, though every human being is a liar, as it is written: “That you may be justified in your words, and conquer when you are judged.”

For he who said, “You shall not commit adultery,” also said, “You shall not kill.” Even if you do not commit adultery but kill, you have become a transgressor of the law.

But if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors.

Then I heard the angel in charge of the waters say: “You are just, O Holy One, who are and who were, in passing this sentence.

Then I saw the heavens opened, and there was a white horse; its rider was [called] “Faithful and True.” He judges and wages war in righteousness.
