You have established for yourself your people Israel as your people forever, and you, Lord, have become their God.

I say to the Lord, you are my Lord, you are my only good.

He guides the humble in righteousness, and teaches the humble his way.

I hear the whispers of the crowd; terrors are all around me. They conspire together against me; they plot to take my life.

Now that I am old and gray, do not forsake me, God, That I may proclaim your might to all generations yet to come, Your power

With your counsel you guide me, and at the end receive me with honor.

Though my flesh and my heart fail, God is the rock of my heart, my portion forever.

On the way of righteousness I walk, along the paths of justice,

Then the Lord will guide you always and satisfy your thirst in parched places, will give strength to your bones And you shall be like a watered garden, like a flowing spring whose waters never fail.

But this I will call to mind; therefore I will hope:

Whether the cloud lingered over the tabernacle for two days or for a month or longer, the Israelites remained in camp and did not break camp; but when it lifted, they broke camp.

But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming.
