Great is his glory in your victory; majesty and splendor you confer upon him.

The Lord loves the pure of heart; the person of winning speech has a king for a friend.

That you may act discreetly, and your lips guard what you know.

W Like an apple tree among the trees of the woods, so is my lover among men. In his shadow I delight to sit, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.

Your eyes will see a king in his splendor, they will look upon a vast land.

The Lord God has given me a well-trained tongue, That I might know how to answer the weary a word that will waken them. Morning after morning he wakens my ear to hear as disciples do;

And all spoke highly of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his mouth. They also asked, “Isn’t this the son of Joseph?”

And the Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us, and we saw his glory, the glory as of the Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.

The guards answered, “Never before has anyone spoken like this one.”

It was fitting that we should have such a high priest: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, higher than the heavens.
